After a bunch of short weeks, we are back to some 5-day weeks.  We had Museum on the Move come to our classrooms this morning and present and let the students explore and investigate Utah animals.  We have the art truck coming on Nov. 4.  We need one volunteer to stay with the students in the classroom or to go outside with them in the art truck.  The times needed are: 8:30-9, 9:30-10, 1:30-2 and 2-2:30.  Please email me if you are able to help us out.

Language Arts: We will finish up with our story, "Horse Heroes," and test on Tuesday.
Writing: Compare/contrast paragraphs, summaries
Math: We will continue with Topic 6: multiplying by 1-digit numbers.  We will end the week with a test, probably on Friday.  Unit 6 is up on Pearson for review or practice, if needed.  We also have our first math CFA (Review test of everything we've learned so far) coming up.  We will take the first half this week and finish it up early next week.  
Science: Weather
Social Studies: Utah and its counties
Homework: read 20 min/night, spelling, vocab, worksheet, and practice keyboarding with correct finger positions, and use the resources on my blog that you need the most improvement in (Reflex math, Pearson, kidblog, read aloud, etc).  Book reports!
Please volunteer!  I would love to have volunteers come in on Tuesdays and Thursdays from either 8:30-9:00 or 1:30-2:00 to have you read with students.  If you would prefer math, you could also do that.  Also, I can use a volunteer anytime on Fridays to grade spelling tests and time tests.
