This week is a review week for Language Arts. We will be reviewing some of the skills we have been working on and will take the 3rd Unit test (40 question test) throughout the week. We will also be starting Topic 12 in math: adding and subtracting fractions. The lessons are up on Pearson for your kids to practice.
Parent teacher conferences are coming up and the scheduler is open to make an appointment. Go to the Butler elementary website (on my blog) and click on the online scheduler. The password is bobcats. We hope to see you all. We are also willing to see you after school Monday if the other times don't work for you. Just email me and we can set that up.
The second book report is due this Friday!
Bobcat awards papers are due around 2/12 for the first round. I haven't heard from the PTA about an exact due date yet but it will be around this date.

Language Arts: CFA test, review, writing: Tall tales and opinion paragraphs
Math: starting topic 12: fractions. Lessons 1-5 this week. I will probably split the topic into two tests since it's a longer unit.
Science: fossils
French: Fairy tale unit
Homework musts: read 20 min./night, homework packet, Quizlet, recorders, Lexia
Homework as needed: Reflex math, Pearson, keyboarding, Utah Compose, read aloud
