I apologize for the late update. Thank you to those of you who donated to Mme. Fa'asu for the science lessons. She really appreciated it! Report cards will be sent home on Monday along with the SRI reports from a few weeks ago. I already sent home your child's score earlier, but we're sending it again to make sure all parents have seen it. To clarify, the SRI is a score based on reading comprehension and is a good indicator to how well your child should do on the end of year SAGE test for the comprehension section. We will take it about 4 times this year to show progress. If your student is below where they should be (the blue line), you can help at home by asking your child questions about the books they are reading (main idea, details, compare/contrast, sequencing etc) or doing the remediation pages on Pearson under Reading Street with your child.

Math: Topic 8 test is Monday- please review on Pearson and practice 2-digit multiplication. We started Topic 9: division on Friday. Mon.- 9.2, Tues.-9.3, Wed.- 9.4, Thurs.- 9.5, Fri.- 9.6
Language Arts: This is a review week, so no spelling or vocabulary. We will be taking the 2nd Language Arts CFA this week (40 question unit 2 test) and reviewing what we learned.
Writing: opinion
Social Studies: Utah counties
Science: rocks
French: documentary texts, structure of questions, U4S4
Homework musts: read 20 minutes a night, homework packet, recorders (au clair de la lune and nutcracker)
Homework as needed: Pearson, Reflex math, Utah compose, read aloud, keyboarding, Quizlet etc.
