Thanks to the parents who helped with science in the French room this week!
We had our weather presentation today!  Ask your student about it.
I have sent home parent-teacher conference times with your student today.  If the time you are assigned, doesn't work for you, please email me to switch it.
We also sent home lunch choices for our upcoming field trip February 17 (8:45-12:45) to the Natural History Museum.  We will be eating lunch at Butler, but will be arriving back at school after the cafeteria closes, around 12:30-12:40.  Your student can bring lunch from home or order a sack lunch from school.  This is due tomorrow, Friday.  You may also email me your child's lunch choice.  Make sure they eat a good breakfast that day as we'll be eating lunch a half hour later than usual.
We are also taking names for volunteers for the field trip.  Please email me this weekend if you would like to be a chaperone.  If we have too many volunteers, those that haven't gone with us yet, will be picked first and others drawn.  I will email those who will be going with us by next week.
SAGE WRITING TEST: Our SAGE writing tests will be on Feb. 11 and 13.  Please make sure your student is well fed and has a good night's sleep the night before.  They will be 1 1/2 hours long.
Valentines' Day:  We will have a Valentines' Day Party in the afternoon Feb. 13.  More details to come.
Math: We are in  middle of Topic 12 and still studying fractions.  It is going to start getting more difficult next week, so please encourage your student to use Pearson if they need extra help.  Mon.-12-6, Tues. 12-7, Wed. 12-8.
Language Arts: We will be doing lots of writing this week!  Check out their work on Utah Compose- have them bring home their student IDs.
Science: Fossils
French: Fairy Tales, vocabulary on fairy tales, adjectives
Homework: read 20 min./night, Reflex math, Pearson for help with math, if needed, recorders
