Recorders- Students NEED to be practicing the recorder at home and bringing it to school.  Just have them keep it in their backpacks please.  They will be playing these for the whole school at Christmas and if they don't bring it, they won't know how to play the songs.
French- conjugating verbs, informative texts and presenting animal research projects
Science- rocks and minerals
Language Arts- We will be taking the Unit 3 week 5 test on Wednesday.  Our strategy we've been working on is generalization.  We are also working on verbs.  We have begun writing 3 paragraph essays and practiced putting them into Utah Compose.  This is a writing tool that may be used a bit at home to revise and add to current essays or there are two free choice prompts that your student may write on their own to see what scores they would get and to read some feedback.  They have their IDs and passwords here at school, but they may copy them and bring them home to work on or for you to see.
Math- We are working on Topic 10 and I have it up on Pearson for review or practice.  We will be starting long division on Friday.  Mon. 10-5, Tues. 10-6, Wed. 10-7, Thurs. Review.  We will be having 3 small quizzes for this unit instead of a end of topic test since we'll be going over Christmas Break.
Homework- spelling, read 20 min./night, vocabulary, worksheet, Reflex math, recorders
The spelling test will be on Thursday this week.
Volunteers-each Tuesday and Thursday 8:20-9 and 1:30-2 to read with students and anytime on Fridays to grade/paperwork.
I will collect box tops until the next incentive if you want to send them in occasionally.  We only have two more weeks to go before Christmas Break!  Have a great week!

Upcoming Dates:
12/17- Reading Street Test
12/20-1/5- Christmas Break
