This week has been so busy and has flown by!  Enjoy your students at home Friday and expect their report cards to come home on Monday.  If you have any questions about the report card, please come to Parents, Pizza and Popcorn Night on Nov. 20 to get answers.  There is a new website that has been created for the French teachers.  Melle. Rigler has put some pictures on it from our field trips and special days at school.  I will also post a link to it on my blog for easy access if you would like to take a look-    http://butlerelemdualimmersion.weebly.com/

Recorders- Students NEED to be practicing the recorder at home and bringing it to school.  Just have them keep it in their backpacks please.  They will be playing these for the whole school at Christmas and if they don't bring it, they won't know how to play the songs.
French- interrogative sentences, informative texts
Science- we are starting a new unit on rocks and minerals
Language Arts- We will start Unit 3 and the strategy will be generalization.  We will continue to practice opinion writing.  They took their Unit 2 CFA today and have their results.
Math- We have started Topic 8.  Math is starting to get more challenging with many more steps to remember.  Please look at their math pages that go home to see how they are doing.   I have Topic 8 up on Pearson for review or practice (video, quiz, math book and worksheets).  Test on Friday.
Homework- spelling, read 20 min./night, vocabulary, worksheet, Reflex math, recorders
Volunteers-each Tuesday and Thursday 8:20-9 and 1:30-2 to read with students and anytime on Fridays to grade/paperwork.
Bring in Food for the food drive!  The class with the most items wins a party.  I will also collect box tops until the next incentive if you want to send them in occasionally.  Have a great week!
